Waldorf Education:

Cultivating Curiosity, Contemplation and Discovery

For nearly a century, Waldorf school educators have understood that learning is attained through a thoughtful process of curiosity, contemplation and discovery that develops the mind as well as the physical, emotional and social aspects of each individual child.

At the Minnesota Waldorf School, our curriculum is comprised of a strong core of humanities and sciences, which is carefully and creatively integrated with art, handwork, foreign language, music and movement. Teachers are trained in Waldorf methods that help unfold each child's innate passion for learning. Children flow from cooking and imaginative play in preschool and kindergarten, to marching math games and building projects in early grades, and then advance to scientific discovery and critical thinking in upper grades.
